February means Valentine’s Day sewing is fair game! I’ve enjoyed sewing ‘holiday’ clothes for my son, but try to do it ahead of time so he can wear it a few times before the actual holiday. We were browsing Goodwill for a red shirt to make his sleeves out of, and this fun polka-dot and heart t-shirt jumped out at me! 4 ideas on what to do with broken toys - we are trying to cut down on the trash we generate so here are some creative toy upcycle and toy recycle ideas!

I get it, it is so satisfying to chuck things in the trash. But there are fun ways to upcycle broken toys and keep them out of the landfill! If you’re not feeling creative, there are ways to just recycle toy parts as well. For the past few years I’ve been building a “tinker box” where I put broken parts and pieces that I think could be repurposed, I hope in a few years my kids can go to town and make all sorts of new creations from their old toys!
