Growing up, my Mom always made my costume. I remember being the Queen of Hearts, with a giant, photocopied card on my front! All sorts of my childhood costumes are now being worn by my kids and nieces as dress up. I am a little less dedicated than she is, and am always looking for ways to make costume ideas more comfortable and easier to sew. Starting with a base hooded sweatshirt accomplishes both those goals, so I came up wit this fun list of hoodie halloween costumes!

I recommend shopping for the base hoodies secondhand if you can; I always check Ebay, the Kidizen app (use bjo0b for $5 off, it is my referral code!), and my local thrift stores. If you have to buy new, I have been happy with several of the brands Amazon carries!
