Furniture is SO expensive and bulky, I can understand how it is both tempting and not-tempting to think of just trashing a piece when it gets holes or stains. Between two kids, two dogs, and two cats, our chairs are starting to look worse for wear and I thought I’d proactively brainstorm some ways for repairing furniture damaged by cats etc. I had fun making this list; leave a comment if I missed an idea you’ve used to keep furniture looking good for longer!

This is such a clever way to cover up fraying or holes, beautiful cotton doilies! These came from the doily Etsy shop, Rachael's Scraps, here!
I think this is just so clever; what a great way to cover up a busted office chair or just update one, I saw this in the Scrappy Girls Club facebook group and asked permission to share it; the maker even said she used selvages as drawstring ties for the covers!
I never know what to do with tea towels but this is such a fun way to enjoy them on display but in a functional way, perfect for covering up stained seats.
I haven't tried this but they make special paint you can just cover up stains, how good does this new couch look!
I can't get over how colorful this brand new chair looks, all woven from fabric scraps!
I saw this in the Facebook group Modern Mending Club and fell in love!! Beautiful darning/weaving done to repair holes and it looks so cool.

A quilty dresser, with no sewing! Technically this is not upholstery refashioning, but I'm including it because it's so fun and a furniture refashion. I am impressed with how this turned out, love all the color.
