2025 mega-list of creative reuse centers! A map of how to find a secondhand fabric craft store near you!

A custom map and international list of creative reuse centers – stores that sell upcycled materials, craft supplies, and more!

A creative reuse center near me map resource!

If you’re googling ‘ creative reuse center near me ‘ hopefully you’ll find my page! This amazing organization concept can be tough to track down because they all have different names. After stumbling on one while traveling, I decided to make a map that makes it easier to map them out. There is also an organized list below – please leave a comment if I’ve missed any that you know of! If you don’t know what a creative reuse center is, keep reading and I’ll explain. The map is at the very end of this post!

This list has been up for several years at this point and multiple websites have since published identical posts, sometimes clearly copy/pasting all my text or even embedding my map. On one hand – I’m thrilled for more people to know about creative reuse centers and spread the word! On the other hand, copy/pasting someone else’s list is not cool – and leads to heartache if they aren’t updating it. At any rate, I am so thankful for the dozens of people who regularly leave comments about new stores or stores shutting down. I keep my list updated regularly and appreciate everyone who helps me keep this as robust as it can be!

**I will always make a note in my weekly newsletter when I add new ones to the list, so subscribe if you don’t want to miss anything, it is emailed out every friday!** [Last update to this list: 3/19/2025]

where to find secondhand school supplies

These centers serve as secondhand stores for traditional arts and crafts supplies alongside ‘upcycled’ materials that are great for projects like plastic spools, factory offcuts of fabric or leather, old CDs, bottle tops, and more! They serve to keep things out of a landfill and often run creative classes and workshops. They’re a great place to look for creative inspiration or to pass along your old supplies or recyclables!

If you like this post, check out these others while you’re here! I have lots of upcycling inspiration past these 4, just some of my favorites!

secondhand fabric store

You often pay by the pound or there is a flat rate to fill a bag, making it a really affordable way to get crafty. I’ve been to two in the past and stumbled on the most recent one by chance, so I decided to make a map of where all the active ones were so I could check it when we traveled! Please leave a comment if you know of one that I didn’t include.

I also noted craft/sewing focused thrift stores that are more traditional without the upcycled materials, just to keep it green! I have not included any online-only stores – just places you can walk in the door. Check out this post for places to shop secondhand crafts/fabric online.

A creative reuse center near me map resource!

First, a list state by state (and international countries too) – keep scrolling to see the map at the end! The map will not show any groups that are operating as a pop-up only without a permanent address, those will only be in the list below:

Please note that:

  • I will keep this list as updated as I can via comments or feedback, but always double check before stopping by!
  • Many of these places also offer workshops and classes!
  • ” No upcycleables” means that generally speaking, they do not accept or sell things like bottle caps, old jars, board game pieces, empty containers, or wine corks – but instead accept and sell secondhand fabric and/or craft supplies like you might find at JOANN or Michael’s!
