A new month brings another round of TSNEM – Try Something New Every Month- projects! We had a link-up for everyone who participated, which you can see in this post, and I’m featuring 4 of my favorite projects. This post also contains the link-up for February at the bottom, so please come back and share what you’ve made! Don’t forget we also have a Facebook group and that you can join in at any time, with all the monthly themes listed out in this post (although they are totally optional).
Daisyeyes Handmade created this whimsical quilted wall hanging, with embroidery accents. I think the butterflies are my favorite part, they mesh with the fabric choices so well.
Swimming in a Sew of Estrogen tried hand embroidery, and even though she says she hates hand sewing, this Harry Potter hoop turned out amazing (she links the free pattern in her post, too).
Daisies for Violet made a TON of things, but my favorite is this mini quilt. Go see what else she tried!
Kittens and Threads created a free pattern for her mini quilt, which is circular! For some reason a circular quilt/circular quilting has never occurred to me. More pretty pictures in her post.
February’s theme is Tactile Craft; paper mache, clay, soap, candlemaking. I am hoping to make a paper mache pinata!
